Both Mikey Garcia and Jessie Vargas are looking to re-establish themselves as two of the most feared technicians and punchers in all of boxing, and both will get the chance to do so when they face off against each other at The Star in Frisco, Texas in Saturday night welterweight action. Time to get set a fight card that's brimming with narrative -- including the returns of former pound-for-pound superstar Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and heavyweight contender Joseph Parker.

The undercard gets rolling at around 6 p.m. ET Saturday evening, while the main card starts around 8:00 p.m. ET, with the full broadcast available via DAZN and the Reddit Boxing Streams subreddit community.

Garcia was a perfect 39-0 before he moved up from 140 pounds to welterweight to fight against Errol Spence last year. He was throughly beaten in a dominant unanimous decision win for Spence. But instead of moving back down to junior welterweight -- a division in which he remains lineal champion -- Garcia is sticking around at 147 to prove himself agaisnt Vargas, a contender who enters Saturday night as far and away the naturally bigger fighter.

While Garcia has to answer questions about if the welterweight division is right for him, Vargas, who has two wins and two draws since losing to Manny Pacquiao, needs to prove he can win "the big fight." That makes Saturday night in north Texas a huge opportunity, as he's never claimed a scalp with the pound-for-pound prestige that Garcia has.

Elsewehere on the card, Chocolatito Gonzalez squares off for Kal Yafai' WBA junior bantamweight title, while Joseph Parker is back to reassert himself in the heavyweight championship conversation against Shawndell Winters. In flyweight action, Julio Cesar Martinez will meet Jay Harris with the former's WBC belt on the line.

Either of these fighters could be back in line for a 147-pound title shot with a victory, whereas a loss runs the risk of chasing them right out of the division. This card is not to be missed, fight fans.
