The New York Yankees are one of many teams vying to land Marcus Stroman's services at the MLB trade deadline. With the Yankees in need of a steady hand in their rotation, Stroman seems a perfect fit.

Well, the desire to add Stroman may fade a bit in the eyes of Yankee fans after hearing SportsNet's Ben Nicholson-Smith's report of Toronto's asking price.

Nicholson-Smith reports that Toronto has asked for both Gleyber Torres as well as highly-touted prospect Deivi Garcia from the Yankees, both of whom are incredibly valuable assets.

Even Nicholson-Smith admits this is quite the ask from the Blue Jays, so hopefully they'll come back with a bit more realistic price for their coveted arm.

For now it seems talks are rather lukewarm between the Yankees and Jays, but with less than five days remaining until the deadline, there's still a few days for those discussions to heat up.

Stroman is almost bound to be dealt from the rebuilding Jays, and the prospect-rich Yankees present an ideal landing spot. If Toronto is willing to get real in these trade talks, perhaps something can materialize.
