Marcus Stroman has been one of the most intriguing pitchers on the trade block for quite some time now.

The Blue Jays pitcher has been linked to the Yankees as well as a few other teams, but now Toronto may be planning on holding onto their most valuable asset.

The Blue Jays are obviously thin in the starting pitching department, and holding onto Stroman would allow them to retain their most consistent pitcher, but for a rebuilding team, moving the former All-Star might be the better option.

This report might be Toronto's way of getting more in return for Stroman, as teams may up their offers now that they know the Jays are content with keeping and extending the right-hander.

If the Jays do decide to move Stroman, they will surely boost their rebuild by adding impressive pieces for their future. However, Toronto remains in a win-win situation, as they can also keep one of the game's most polarizing figures.
