Blue Jays Manager Charlie Montoyo Shades Edwin Jackson With Sad Comment
By Michael Luciano

As fun as it is to chronicle Edwin Jackson's quest to play for every MLB team --he's currently on team No. 14 -- he just isn't cutting it on the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays at the moment, going 0-4 with a staggering 11.90 ERA and -1.3 WAR in just five starts.
Manager Charlie Montoyo is fully aware of how pitiful Jackson has been, but laments the fact that there isn't anyone else available to start for them.

When I asked what went into that decision, Charlie Montoyo said “We don’t have anybody else.”
So you're telling me there isn't one guy on the Triple-A team in Buffalo that can be trusted to pitch better than him? Well, that's a depressing thought.
After a year wherein he had a 6-4 record and a 3.33 ERA in 17 starts for the Oakland A's, Jackson wasn't just a total lottery ticket. However, it's become painfully clear that the 18-year veteran is washed, as he's been serving up meatball after meatball in his five starts as a Blue Jay.

Seriously, there isn't one guy in the minors better than Jackson right now? Since the Buffalo Bisons apparently have the worst rotation in history, perhaps the front office should start scouting better.
