This Bills-Jaguars Trade for Leonard Fournette Could Actually Work

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be totally starting over in the hopes of landing a high draft pick in the 2021 draft, and their race to the bottom could see them trade away running back Leonard Fournette.

Jacksonville could make Fournette the next star player that ends up traded elsewhere before the 2020 season starts, joining the likes of Broncos corner AJ Bouye and Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell.

The Buffalo Bills have been searching for a running back to compliment Devin Singletary in the backfield, and Fournette would be the perfect thunder to the former FAU star's lightning.

The Bills currently own one third-round pick, No. 86 overall, in the 2020 draft. That top-100 selection for a player like Fournette that has topped 1,000 yards in two of his three seasons as a pro is a more than fair swap given the fact he has an $8.6 million cap hit and will be a free agent at the end of this season.

A fourth-round pick and a late-round selection could be an other possible alternative for Buffalo.

Imagine a creative OC like Brian Daboll with a premium athlete in Josh Allen at quarterback, the elite Stefon Diggs at wide receiver, and a combination of Fournette and Singletary in the backfield. They could run the wishbone like Nebraska and Oklahoma in the 80's with athletes of that caliber at the running back position.
