If you watched the Steelers at all this season, you saw the magical journey that was the growth of Ben Roethlisberger's beard. Sidelined for most of the year after undergoing elbow surgery, Big Ben's beard was arguably the most noticeable aspect of his season.

As we dive in to the NFL offseason, it appears the Steelers franchise quarterback has no intentions of cleaning up his look anytime soon. The beauty of the beard was on full display tonight, as Roethlisberger was sitting courtside while attending West Virginia's home game against the Kansas Jayhawks.

I mean the hat, the quarter-zip, sitting next to one of the Mountaineers, Ben has got it all going on right now. Big Ben's facial hair is growing at unprecedented rates, and he doesn't seem prepared to give up beard life just yet.

Just look how naturally he fits in with the crowd over in Morgantown!

And if he's keen on avoiding the public eye, well, it looks like that's going well for him, too. Roethlisberger, who was sitting nearby teammate Ryan Switzer, went undetected by the game's broadcast. Meanwhile Switzer, a West Virginia native, was the focal point of a graphic.

Roethlisberger revealed back in December that he planned to continue growing out his beard until he was able to resume throwing. As fun as it is to see Big Ben with the bushy facial hair, it serves as a symbol that he's not yet ready to return to the gridiron.
