The Chicago Bears are in a weird situation with Mitchell Trubisky. The team moved up to No. 2 overall in 2017 to draft him, but may already be considering a future that does not involve him at all.

Several notable quarterbacks are changing teams this offseason, and Bears fans are awaiting any news of landing one of these top targets. Several Bears receivers even shared their excitement about the possibility of having a new quarterback in Chicago this season, like Tom Brady, Cam Newton, and Teddy Bridgewater.

Cordarrelle Patterson tweeted at both Brady and Bridgewater, while Allen Robinson II liked a tweet linking Newton to the Bears. Unfortunately for both, Brady is reportedly headed to Tampa Bay and Bridgewater is signing with Carolina, but the fact alone that these guys went to such lengths is telling.

This is the opposite of Terrell Owens crying in defense of his quarterback.

Trubisky has struggled over the course of his three professional seasons, and finished 2019 with only 3,138 yards and 17 touchdowns in what was supposed to be a banner year in defense of Chicago's NFC North title. He is a weak link, but it is still a bad look for his teammates to pine for other quarterbacks on Twitter.

Of course, at the same time it is hard to blame them.
