Professional football is officially back in the city of St. Louis. The XFL put the BattleHawks in St. Louis and fans showed up by the number for Sunday's home opener in style. One fan in particular was clad in a gold mask and wings to get into a true BattleHawk mindset, showcasing extreme loyalty for a team he started supporting some three weeks ago.

This type of dedication for a brand new team is awesome to see. We're hoping this is the start of something special in St. Louis and that we seem a Black-Hole esque level of admiration from the fanbase. Football is back in the city for the first time since the Rams departed, and supporters are diving in with enthusiasm, embracing the XFL.

This electric atmosphere came in the first home game for the BattleHawks. The costumes will only get more intricate as others look to support St. Louis' newest and only professional football team.
