Bats With High Risk for Rabies Found at David Wade Stadium Before Alabama-Mississippi State Game
By Jerry Trotta

Get a load of this, folks, because you might not see it materialize again in the world of sports for quite some time.
A little over an hour before Saturday afternoon's kickoff between Alabama and Mississippi State, a swarm of bats considered to carry a "high risk for rabies" were spotted at Davis Wade Stadium. What?

It's worth noting that the situation doesn't seem all that serious, as the NCAA plans to go forward with the game as scheduled, BUT this should serve as a warning to all the fans attending the game in Starkville on Saturday.
We can't be sure, but something tells us that a plethora of ticket-holders won't attend today's game and look for some sort of refund. Be honest, would you take your chances of contracting rabies while watching your school likely get pummeled by the Crimson Tide?
No, thank you.
Also, any fans who encounter a bat(s) have been advised to contact the closest stadium attendant.
They just announced on the PA here at Davis Wade Stadium that if you come in contact with a bat, notify the closest attendant.

At least precautions are being taken, right?
Not only will Bulldogs buffs have to manage slowing down an authoritative Alabama offense on Saturday (with or without Tua Tagovailoa), but they will also have to be wary of contracting rabies.
Just another weekend in Starkville, Miss.
