Baker Mayfield isn't one to keep quiet. He simply is who he is. And given his outspoken, brash nature and occasional lack of filter on the record, there could perhaps be no better man to take the lead in recruiting top free agents to Cleveland.

And that's exactly what the fracnhiose quarterback is doing vis-a-vis All-Pro defensive tackle Gerald McCoy.

Baker is hoping that alma maters are thicker than water, as he and McCoy both made names for themselves wearing Oklahoma Sooners uniforms in their respective college eras.

Mayfield attempted to keep things businesslike as he led a football camp for kids this weekend, but he couldn't help but let it slip that, yes, he was in the process of making a pitch to McCoy to join up with the Browns.

Maybe one of those youngsters will get a bit of a scouting breakdown from the inimitable QB as well. It's never too early for Lincoln Riley to hand over a scholarship offer, after all.
