Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield doesn't have the best relationship with the Ohio State Buckeyes and their fans ever since the moment he planted the OU flag on the "Block O" at the Horseshoe's 50-yard line.

But the current Cleveland Brown has high praise for one of the future stars in the OSU program, freshman Garrett Wilson.

"I've thrown with Garrett a couple of times," Mayfield told 247Sports. "I tried to get him to Oklahoma but he didn't go...Garrett's a great kid, obviously very talented. He's a guy that I think will be three in four and done at Ohio State. So he's a great kid, works really, really hard and his talent is all there. He's smart too."

Mayfield and Garrett went to the same high school, the football powerhouse Lake Travis just outside of Austin, Texas.

The QB got to see the WR last year during Lake Travis' spring practice, soon after the 5-star recruit committed to the Buckeyes. Color Mayfield impressed.

Wilson is slightly undersized at 5-11, 175-pounds, but more than makes up for his stature with his speed. He was the No. 20 overall product in the high school class of 2019, including the No. 3 overall player in the state of Texas and the No. 2 overall pass-catcher.
