Austin Riley broke onto the scene last year with a strong rookie performance with the Atlanta Braves, endearing himself to the fanbase with his powerful offensive prowess. Well, during his first MLB offseason, Riley found some time to himself, and told reporters that he spent some of that free time hunting.

Bucks and ducks. An offseason well spent. The 22-year-old prospect truly is a man of the people.

It'll be interesting to see if he brings that killer hunting instinct to the diamond come the regular season. After getting bounced in the NLDS by the St. Louis Cardinals last year, the Braves will be looking to get over the hump in 2020.

Riley, who missed the end of the season due to an injury, will be hoping for an injury-free and more consistent year.

The NL is as stacked as ever this season. The competition will be fierce both in the NL East and across the league as a whole. It's up to Riley and the Braves to show that they're cold-blooded and not to be trifled with. Hopefully getting some hunting done in the offseason will keep Riley sharp heading into the new campaign.
