Last year, there were plenty of people who watched minor league baseball and kept an eye on top prospects. Many wondered if Atlanta Braves outfield prospect Cristian Pache could hit well enough to be a quality big league player.

Defensively, he was already MLB-ready and among the tops in the minor leagues. Well, now he's figured out that offensive thing and looks to be another homegrown star for the Braves.

The 20-year-old (yes, he's that young) outfielder is already at Double-A and is flourishing on both sides of the ball. In 88 games, Pache is slashing .288/.349/.505 with 43 extra-base hits (11 home runs) and 50 RBI. while also looking like a future Gold Glover in center field.

We've seen in increase in power from Pache to go along with his plus speed. While the offense has improved, you still wonder if he can drive the ball consistently at the big league level, especially since he's allergic to walks (only 28 in 333 at-bats).

But remember, Pache is still learning and growing as a player and figures to be a longtime major leaguer.

Could you imagine if that happens and Atlanta keeps both players around? Oh, and they have another stud outfield prospect in Drew Waters who is tearing up Double-A.

The future in Atlanta is beyond bright and fans have to be thrilled with the team's outlook.
