Astros vs Athletics MLB Live Stream Reddit for Series Finale

The Houston Astros (39-20) and Oakland Athletics (29-29) will square off this afternoon in what will be the series finale of their three game series. The A's will be looking to avoid the sweep at the hands of their division rivals.

Astros Lineup

Despite a slew of injuries lately, the Houston Astros have continued to roll. The team currently has an 8.5 game lead in the AL West and the third best record in the American League.

The lineup once again will be without both George Springer and Jose Altuve, who are both on the IL. Springer and Altuve were both enjoying excellent seasons, especially Springer, who was arguably the AL MVP before his injury. Alex Bregman and Michael Brantley have continued to rake, lessening the blow for the Astros. Gerrit Cole will take the mound for Houston, he is 5-5 on the season with a 4.02 ERA.

Athletics Lineup

The Oakland A's looked like they may have been turning a corner until they hit a recent rough patch of four losses in a row, including the last two being in this series.

Though Oakland has been disappointing this season, Matt Chapman has not. The young third baseman has followed up his breakout performance from last season with another great year both in the field and at the plate. he seems to make highlight reel plays every day and has been mashing with a .902 OPS and 15 home runs. Chris Bassitt will toe the rubber for the A's, looking to improve on his 3-1 record.
