The Houston Astros just got another visit from the injury bug, and this time it's claimed two victims.

Star shortstop Carlos Correa will hit the IL after he left Tuesday's game with back discomfort. Meanwhile, starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez is also set for an IL stint after picking up a pectoral injury during his start in the same game.

Hopefully the pair aren't out too long, as Correa had just recently returned from a lengthy IL stint. As for Sanchez, he had been impressing early on in his Astros career after being traded to the club at the deadline from Toronto.

The injuries will force the Astros to make a pair of roster moves ahead of Wednesday's game. While fans will be clamoring for Kyle Tucker to get a promotion, the Stros will likely wait until rosters expand on Sept.1 before giving the outfielder his shot.

Correa missed 51 games after being sidelined from May 26-July 26 with a rib injury that was suffered during a massage. In 72 games this year, Correa is slashing .278/.358/.556 with 19 home runs and 56 RBI. Unfortunately he will be back on the shelf for a while as he recovers from this back ailment. When healthy, Correa has been effective, but injuries have plagued his 2019 campaign.

Sanchez has logged three starts for the Astros, including six innings of work in a combined no-hitter. After going 3-14 in Toronto, Sanchez earned wins and two of his first three starts with the Astros.

The team will be hoping neither of these IL stints lasts too long, as these guys both figure to be pivotal players in their postseason run.
