The Premier League is finally back! The English top division returns with a bang, as Manchester City will take on Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in North London.

Arsenal were in the midst of a tumultuous season before play was halted in March. After a terrible run of form in November, Unai Emery was finally fired as manager. Arsenal brought in former player Mikel Arteta in December. They currently sit ninth in the Premier League table, however only five points separate them from the fifth-place Manchester United. A result against juggernauts in Manchester City would be huge for their Europa League hopes.
But Manchester City's dangerous attack will be a tough assignment in Arsenal's first game back. A solid performance here could instill a great deal of confidence in the defensive unit.

While the Premier League title may be a lost cause for Man City, the club still has a lot to play for in the final 10 games of the season. They'll still want to hold off Leicester City for second place in the Premier League table. Pep Guardiola will also want to prove something in his first match against former apprentice Mikel Arteta.
Wednesday's contest should be compelling and will be the perfect welcome back to get us excited for the rest of the Premier League season.
