Only in America.

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown's dispute with the NFL over the desired helmet he wants to wear has been well-documented, but the league has prevailed in an emphatic way up until this point. After all, Brown is literally the only player complaining about this.

But now we have a new wrinkle in the fold. The Raiders star could actually get his way AND get paid for it.

Only the duo of Brown and Rosenhaus could make this outlandish scenario a reality. But what happens when the NFL doesn't allow that?

Brown has since returned to the Raiders after being called out by general manager Mike Mayock, but filed a second grievance with the league, only to be shot down again. This potential opportunity seems to be his best bet considering he's been far from getting his way.

"As a result of all the publicity accrued from our efforts to get him to wear that helmet, he has multiple offers on the table right now from various companies to custom-make a helmet for him and pay him quite a bit of money," Rosenhaus said, via NFL.com. "We have found, without getting into specifics, some very suitable alternatives. We're very excited. Antonio will be wearing a helmet. He won't be missing any time, and he'll be getting paid a lot of money to do so. It's sort of a happy ending, even though he won't be able to wear the old helmet."

So, somehow, after giving every NFL fan a headache, putting a strain on his new team, and making the Steelers look like the absolute best guys following their divorce, Antonio Brown might get the helmet he wants and be compensated for wearing it.

What a world.
