Anthony Rizzo Posts Touching Twitter Tribute to 3 Fans Who Lost Battles With Cancer This Week
By Michael Luciano

As amazing of a first baseman as Chicago Cubs star Anthony Rizzo is, his story becomes even more amazing when you consider the fact that Rizzo is a survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma. Because of all the trials and tribulations he had to endure, cancer research and care for those who are suffering is very near to his heart.
Rizzo took to Twitter to announce his condolences for the families of three fans, Evan, James, and Justin, who lost their fight with cancer. All of them were around the same age as a 19-year-old Rizzo was when he found out about his diagnosis.
3 men diagnosed with cancer around the same age I was when I was told I had cancer died this week. Evan, Jack & Justin it was a pleasure getting to meet. I'm sorry we couldn't do better for u. I'm sorry ur families are having to go through this. Thoughts & prayers aren't enough. pic.twitter.com/CPfJPFReMn

Rizzo, who runs a charity foundation that raises money for cancer research, has proven to be exceptionally altruistic when it comes to studying cancer.
Rizzo even went so dar as to donate $3.5 million to a children's hospital in 2017, which was half of his $7 million salary.

If Rizzo goes deep Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, know that it would have been all for Evan, James and Justin.
