The 2020 MLB season might be on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is staying ready for whenever he and the rest of the Cubs are called into action. Rizzo posted a clip on Instagram of him doing squats with a few hundred pounds of weight on the bar, perhaps tantalizing Cubs fans with a 2020 season that could blow his previous home run numbers out of the water.

Rizzo has hit 25 or more home runs in each of the last six seasons, winning two Gold Gloves and making three All-Star game appearances along the way.

For all the star power and bombast on the Cubs team, Rizzo is the captain and steading presence on this squad. When the calendar turns to October, the Cubs only go as far as Rizzo takes them.

Whenever the season is resumed, Cubs fans can count on a jacked Rizzo launching second-deck missiles in the heart of the Chicago order.
