New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis is set to meet with new executive Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin on Wednesday. You don't say?

The six-time NBA All-Star publicly requested a trade from the organization in January, but Griffin believes he still has a shot at keeping his superstar:

What has changed? The Pelicans won the NBA Draft Lottery.

With Zion Williamson well within grasp, New Orleans can now make a pitch to Davis he won't laugh at.

Zion is the most talked about college basketball prospect in recent memory, lighting up the NCAA scene with highlight dunks. The combination of him and the 'Brow' in the front-court would be a deadly one, as both players thrive at playing above the rim.

Yet, it is still unclear whether Davis can even be persuaded. At this point in his career, it seems as though AD will prioritize teams that can contend next year rather than future seasons. Among the teams expected to be in the mix include the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks.

Davis has averaged 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks over the course of his career, earning three All-NBA First Team selections.

He is a catalyst on both ends of the floor, and Griffin will likely do everything he can to convince AD that New Orleans is the place to be.
