Angels to Honor Tyler Skaggs With Memorial Patch on Jerseys for Rest of Season

The baseball world is still not over the unfathomable loss of Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs, who passed away at the age of 27 just before the Angels were scheduled to play against the Texas Rangers.

In order to honor their fallen teammate, leader and friend, the Angels announced that they will sport a patch featuring Skaggs' name and his No. 45 for the rest of the season.

While there have been so many fitting and touching tributes to the wonderful life and legacy Skaggs left behind, this is one of the best.

Mike Trout and the rest of his Angels teammates have spent the last few days both grieving as friends and teammates while reflecting on the legacy Skaggs left behind.

Skaggs, who was 7-7 with a 4.29 ERA this season, was the first MLB player to pass away during an active season since Jose Fernandez in 2016. While the words tragic and devastating don't even come close to describing the shock of Skaggs' death, baseball coming together as one to honor one of their own has been a particularly poignant moment.
