In the wake of the tragic death of Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs, the team has used many means to honor their fallen friend. On Friday night, they've found a new way, and it's truly harrowing.

Every Angels player will wear No. 45 on Friday night in LA's matchup against the Seattle Mariners, a move which ought to be universally praised throughout baseball.

This, along with the new No. 45 marking in centerfield, provides a tremendous backdrop for a team hoping to make a run and honor Skaggs with a postseason appearance. Even should they fall short, their accomplishments this season--while in grief--ought to be celebrated with the upmost respect.

The Angels, meanwhile, still must deal with ridiculous questions (given the situation) such as this while they're trying to grieve.

In respect to Skaggs' family and friends, let's allow LA the chance to take their minds off the situation, even for just a few hours, and play the game he loved.
