Following their high-profile import of Joe Maddon as manager, consider the second major deal of the Angels' offseason officially closed.

With their stadium situation tenuous (even though the new ballpark opened in 1998), the Angels have finalized a deal with the city of Anaheim to keep them in place through 2050.

As part of the pact, the franchise will acquire the stadium itself and surrounding parking lots, hoping to establish a "ballpark village" in the area and keep fans in place, spending money for longer periods of time before and after games.

Now, all that's left are the personnel moves!

The Angels are rumored to be major players this offseason, with hometown boy Gerrit Cole reportedly a target, and money seemingly no issue. If Cole decides to follow the trail home and join recently-extended Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani in Anaheim long-term, that could go a long way towards revamping this team into a destination once more.

Of course, a ballpark village won't hurt, either.
