By Michael Luciano

After Bud Crawford beat the stuffing out of him at Madison Square Garden, Amir Khan will look to get back on track and re-establish himself as a championship fighter. He'll take on Australian Billy Dib live from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in a bout for the WBC international middleweight title. This card will also feature 24-year-old up-and-coming heavyweight Hughie Fury -- yes, he's Tyson's cousin! -- looking to derail veteran slugger Samuel Peter's comeback campaign.

Dib was a late replacement for Neeraj Goyet, who couldn't compete after he sustained serious injuries in a car crash. With a record of 45-5-2, Dib dominated the IBF featherweight division before moving up to welterweight to take on Khan.
Khan hasn't held a belt since 2015. Since then, he's suffered losses to Canelo Alvarez and Crawford, and some fear his time as an elite boxer has come to a close. Khan feels differently, and will aim to set up a showdown against Manny Pacquiao with a victory today.

Hughie Fury has proven power punching runs in his family, going 22-2 with 12 knockouts to date. The 24-year-old will look to derail the comeback of Samuel Peter, who is making his fourth fight this year after a two-year sabbatical.

imIf Khan wins in Saudi Arabia, a Pacquiao fight might finally be in the cards. That makes today's action all the more fascinating despite feeling like it's a world away.a
