Amari Cooper Claims He Wants to Remain With Cowboys Ahead of Free Agency
By Jerry Trotta

Hidden in their woeful play during the second half of the 2019 season has been the Dallas Cowboys' failure to agree to contract extensions with offensive stars Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper.
Despite their being no talks of a potential agreement, the latter recently confirmed earlier claims that he would like to remain with Dallas when he hits free agency this offseason.
Cooper's claims reportedly come from the fact that he has enjoyed the rapport that he and Prescott have developed since he was traded to the Cowboys last year.
Amari Cooper, a free agent at the end of the season, reiterated his stance that he wants to stay in Dallas. Big part of lure is he likes playing with Dak Prescott.

This news should come to the utmost delight of fans in Big D. Cooper clearly hasn't been healthy over the last month or so, so his production has dipped, but he's still the best receiver on the Cowboys' roster.
At 100%, Coop lights up virtually every secondary he faces. Do we remember the pace he was on earlier in the year? Inking him to an extension should be one of Dallas' top priorities this offseason.
Amari Cooper when asked today about this potentially being his final Cowboys game under contract and if he has thought about what he wants his future to be: “I want to be here.”

There couldn't possibly be any more that Jerry Jones and the rest of the Cowboys' front office would want to hear with the offseason looming, but for now the focus will be squarely on taking down the Redskins in Week 17.
