Alshon Jeffery Cleared to Play in Eagles Season Opener Against Redskins
By Michael Luciano

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson confirmed that one of the team's top receiving targets will be good to go come Week 1.
Wide receiver and 50/50 ball artist Alshon Jeffery, who missed a good chunk of practice and the preseason while nursing a bicep injury, will play with no limitations in the Eagles' season opener against the division rival Washington Redskins.

Jeffery's 2018-19 season might be remembered infamously for dropping a Nick Foles pass that was eventually intercepted in the waning moments of a playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints, but he remains one of the best end zone threats in the league, catching six touchdowns while piling up 843 receiving yards in just 14 regular season games.
While Zach Ertz is the top receiving option in terms of targets, Jeffery's ability to win contested catches as well as stretch the field is invaluable to what Pederson wants to do offensively.
I asked Alshon Jeffery if he needs some work with Carson Wentz in preseason games?

“I’m ready for the regular season”
Are the joint practices beneficial?
“There’s no scoreboard. This s*** can’t get you in the playoffs”

Josh Norman and the Redskins were probably praying for some respite against this dynamic Eagles offense, but Jeffery is here to see if that the much-hyped Washington D is as good as they are supposed to be.
