VIDEO: Allen Iverson's High School Football Highlights Are Bonkers
By Nick Porr

Everyone knows about Allen Iverson's ability to lead an NBA offense. The 11-time All-Star couldn't be stopped from scoring from the moment he joined the league in 1996 until his retirement from the NBA in 2010. What many don't know about A.I. is that he was a star on the gridiron as well as the court before deciding on basketball full-time.
Happy 45th birthday to Allen Iverson.

Iverson literally did it all for his high school football team: He played running back, quarterback, defensive back, and punt returner during his time at Bethel High School in Virginia. The Answer was so good that in his junior year he earned the Virginia Football Player of the Year Award.
In 2015, Iverson mentioned that if he didn't get arrested at 17 his plan was to head to Notre Dame, then the NFL, not the NBA.

In the end, Iverson went to Georgetown University and stunned the world in his two years as a Hoya. He put up 23 points per game across his two seasons there, and was named to the NCAA All-Region team both years.
Iverson was taken by the Philadelphia 76ers with the No. 1 overall pick in 1996, and the rest was history. Football fans are now left wondering what would've been if the undersized point guard had chosen to be a quarterback instead.
