Alex Smith's Incredible Family Halloween Costume Revealed His Leg Still Looks Swollen

A severely broken leg would have drained the humor out of most, but Alex Smith seems to have a good sense of lightheartedness about this whole thing.

Many believe that the Washington Redskins quarterback has played his last snap of NFL football after suffering a gruesome leg injury in 2018, but he really couldn't bring a better attitude to the party. The Smith clan's Halloween costumes poked fun at his injury, as his two sons were "sharks" that were attacking Smith's injured leg, which is still noticeably swollen.

Even with his leg still clearly not being fully healed, Smith's recovery has been nothing short of a miracle.

With concern about if he would even be able to walk, Smith managed to ditch his clunky leg brace much earlier than expected. While he doesn't have enough agility to evade pass rushers in an NFL game, the fact he's as mobile as he is currently is a promising sign.

Smith and his wife Liz should be given a round of applause for their creativity. Hopefully, Smith's leg swelling can subside, and we can see him back on the field in short order.
