Houston Astros infielder Alex Bregman is not letting the delay of the 2020 MLB season due to the coronavirus pandemic, as well neogations between owners and players regarding salary and schedule formatting, water down his love for baseball.

On Tuesday, Bregman shared a sentimental tweet commemorating exactly five years since he was selected by Astros with the second overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft.

Bregman very clearly expressed his passion for the game by calling it his "obession" and "love." You can tell that he considers it the truest of privileges to be able to play.

As the MLB and its players continue to work on proposals to restart the season, it is certainly encouraging to see that the players' pure love of the game hasn't faded.

With this years' draft slated to begin on Wednesday, the fans will get to witness one important step towards normalcy, as well as a much-needed distraction from the haggling between the owners and players as to how to go about starting the 2020 MLB season.

The draft will provide a restless fanbase, hungry for some concrete baseball action, with a much needed outlet.

More importantly, the draft will also allow a new crop of young and hopeful players to have their dreams come true by being able to play the game they love at the highest level. And one of them might just be the next Alex Bregman.
