With the NFL Draft now less than two months away, prospects from all over the country are working to make a lasting impression on teams at the Combine. However, if Alabama defensive back Xavier McKinney is passed over by the Patriots, he might not lose sleep over it.

While meeting with New England in Indianapolis, the standout safety didn't hesitate in saying his interaction with the team was a bit...awkward.

Sound the alarms in Foxborough! Obviously, we're kidding, but it's not a great look for a team when a projected first-round pick comes out and calls them out like this.

“Just toward the end, I wasn’t sure if they enjoyed the meeting or if I did well,” he told Jori Epstein of USA Today. “You kind of walk out of these meetings, kind of uncertain sometimes. But I think that’s just how it goes. You just try to do the best you can.”

For McKinney, the time he spent with the Pats really had to be something if he didn't have an issue saying something like this in public. He has to know it's not going to go over well with the NE front office.

Whoever ends up drafting McKinney will be getting a true playmaker. Don't be surprised if he doesn't end up in New England. And at the end of the day, he may not have a problem with that.
