Dylan Moses Backtracks on Decision to Return to Alabama and Says NFL Draft Choice Will Come Jan. 20
By Michael Luciano

In a bizarre twist, Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses may not be returning to Nick Saban's Crimson Tide for another season. At least, according to a really bizarre statement, that seems to be the case.
In a formal letter released by Moses' father Edward through his law firm, those responsible for the linebacker have declared that he might go back to Alabama for his senior season, as he is still looking into receiving "loss of value" compensation from British insurance company Lloyd's (incorrectly referred to as Lords) of London.

While this letter is written in legalese, the plain English translation states that Moses can't or isn't allowed to make a decision on his football future until he gets permission from his lawyer or insurance company.
Moses made 86 tackles, 10 of them behind the line of scrimmage, and picked up 3.5 sacks in 2018, the last time he was healthy. He then tore his ACL before the season started and didn't play a snap in 2019.
While Clemson's Isaiah Simmons is the top linebacker in the country, Moses could be the second one off the board in a weak linebacker class.

That letter has a few weird points in it (Trust Protector of the Royal Crown?) and asks more questions than it answers, but what is clear after this surprise release is that Moses might just bolt for the NFL anyway after giving Saban his word he was coming back.
