Protests against police brutality have continued to rise across the United States, and attention has returned to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick is of course famous for playing a huge role in the Black Lives Matter movement, being the first NFL player to kneel in front of the American Flag in protest.

Kaepernick has also been on the minds of players lately, as Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio recently claimed that he didn't see any racism in the NFL. Of course, the league's alleged blackballing of Kaepernick stands opposite to that. On Wednesday, Chicago Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks didn't hesitate to speak his mind on the issue.

Poor Mike Glennon; it's not his fault that he didn't live up to his contract. When comparing him to Colin Kaepernick, it's clear that Kap is the superior player. Kaepernick, the former NFC champion QB for the San Francisco 49ers, has a career quarterback rating of 88.9. Glennon's was 76.9 in his one season in Chicago, and he has just 18 career starts in 6 seasons.

The Bears' decision to sign Glennon instead of Kaepernick in 2017 makes no sense, even if they were only looking for a placeholder for then-rookie Mitchell Trubisky. Hicks was just calling it like it is, and ended up shredding Glennon in the process.
