AHL App Had a Complete Meltdown and Demanded Money From Random Man

It's not everyday you see an alert from your app that makes you do a double take, but on Thursday, the American Hockey League's app sent out a notification that demanded a random man named Stewart pay them the $6,000 that he owes them. What in the world?

The meltdown was either the result of the app being hacked or an employee that accidentally sent a private message out to every person who is subscribed to AHL alerts across the world.

You got to feel for Stewart, who has now had his dirty laundry aired out for the world to see. Maybe a GoFundMe is in order for Stewart so that he can clear his name of the $6,000 he owes the AHL.

The AHL will definitely go to lengths to ensure that this does not happen again, but this just goes to show the dangers technology imposes. The AHL has not yet made a statement regarding the events, but we can surely anticipate they are scrambling to figure out what happened.
