Professional baseball in Japan is set to start again this week and some familiar faces for MLB fans will be taking the field. One prominent name is that of Adam Jones, who is beginning his Japanese career after 14 seasons in MLB.

Jones saw his value dip here in the United States and made the choice to sign with the Orix Buffaloes. He is now set to earn more money in Japan than he would have here with a shortened season in play, and is going to get back on the field first, before his MLB compadre. This is great news for the O's legend, and it is hard not to be happy for him.

Jones is a five-time All-Star who spent 2019 with the Arizona Diamondbacks after being with the Baltimore Orioles for 11 years. He was on some bad Orioles teams, and still played his best, deserving another MLB deal in 2020.

Jones has been received like a star in Japan, and it will be easy for fans there to fall in love with him. He plays with energy and also banged 282 home runs in his MLB career. Hitting a few bombs early on in his Japanese career will only make his stardom grow while MLB fans sit and wait for baseball to be played.
