Aaron Rodgers Simply Needs More Weapons or the Packers Will Be Doomed

So we all know how amazing Aaron Rodgers is.

The Packers legend has demonstrated his nonpareil skillset time and time again. Just look at this pass he made in Green Bay's win against the Cowboys last Sunday.

Rodgers is so unbelievable in his ability to carry a team, he can trick people into thinking he can play with anyone. Well, this isn't exactly that case. There is absolutely no quarterback who can win with Green Bay's current core of wide receivers, especially with Davante Adams on the mend, not to mention Marquez Valdes-Scantling's raw talent, but obvious lack of fundamentals.

This is shockingly horrible. These receivers are barely catching over half of the passes thrown to them, and this number would be even worse if they didn't have Rodgers.

Green Bay actually did have a competent receiver in Adams, but he unfortunately injured his toe in a week three loss to the Eagles. He and the team are unsure exactly when his return will be.

Rodgers led a stunning comeback against the Lions on Monday night as the Packers cemented (for the time being) first place in the NFC North. Yet, even in that victory, Green Bay's lack of depth at the receiver position became obvious at times, with Rodgers simply willing his way to a win against a Lions team (and an officiating crew) seemingly desperate to hand him an easy decision.

The front office can't wait to see how the team will do the rest of the season with nobody for Rodgers to pass to. They need to make a move by the trade deadline to truly remain contenders.
