Packers fans could use some positive news about their star quarterback after an offseason in which he's been eviscerated by the media for being un-coachable, a bad teammate, and terrible at chugging beer (the latter is verifiably true).

Amidst all the negativity, people seem to have forgotten that Rodgers is one of the most talented quarterbacks of all-time and more than capable of leading a potent Green Bay offense. According to ProFootballTalk, he's very excited about some of the talent that surrounds him-- specifically, receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling and tight end Jimmy Graham.

Bleacher Report's Tyler Dunne claimed Rodgers "didn't like" Valdes-Scantling in a critical report during the offseason. Well, the quarterback is ensuring to flip that narrative. Per ESPN's Rob Demovsky, Rodgers had nothing but good things to say about the second-year wideout.

"I think Marquez has had a fantastic spring and really stepped up as a guy who can be an every-down player..." said Rodgers.

As a fifth-round draft pick in 2018, Valdes-Scantling had a moderately productive rookie year, putting together 38 catches for 581 yards and 2 touchdowns. Clearly, Rodgers believes he's capable of making the leap to become a legitimate No. 2 wide receiver behind Davante Adams.

Rodgers also believes a healthy Jimmy Graham will have a strong year in new head coach Matt LaFleur's system. If he can revert back into the touchdown machine that he was for the Saints early in his career, Graham will be a huge boost for the Packers offense this season.

"I expect a big bounce-back year from Jimmy. He’s healthy; he’s feeling good. This offense I think fits him and his body type..." Rodgers explained.

With training camp fast approaching, Rodgers will be given the opportunity to showcase his faith in Graham and Valdes-Scantling, and it'll be interesting to see if he's able to unlock the best in the pair as the Packers vie to return to the postseason.
