Aaron Judge, the superstar right fielder for the New York Yankees, is known as one of the biggest power threats in the MLB today. Judge averages 45 HR, 27 doubles and 101 RBI per 162 games, all elite numbers. However, Judge was not always this effective, and the words of the late John Altobelli helped guide him to the player he's become.

Altobelli, a former college baseball coach, coached Judge during his time with the Brewster Whitecaps, and gave the now 27-year-old some great advice: "You need to relax. Good things happen when Aaron Judge swings the bat three times."

What an incredible thought. Altobelli, one of the victims in the plane crash which also took the lives of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, gave this advice to Judge when he was nervous in front of scouts.

Altobelli instilled confidence in the young Judge, helping him become the talented player he is today.
