76ers Thank Jimmy Butler With Tweet That Freaking Misspelled His Name

Jimmy Butler is officially a member of the Miami Heat after the completion of a four-team trade involving the 76ers, Trail Blazers, and Clippers. Since Butler was a vital piece to last year's season in Philly, it was only right that the Sixers send a special thank-you upon his departure.
Well, their message certainly stood out, just not exactly in the way they wanted. Someone must've forgot to spell-check this tweet on the Sixers' official Twitter account, wich thanked not Jimmy 'Butler, but some guy named Jimmy Buter.

Was this an honest mistake? Did somebody at 76ers HQ just feel a little upset that their shooting guard was so gung-ho about leaving town?
One thing's for sure, the internet is getting a real kick out of this laughable mess-up.

Some sarcastically questioned whom the organization was actually talking about. Is Jimmy Buter an exciting up-and-comer in the G League, perhaps?

Others found a reason behind the misspelling and took it as a way to say good riddance.
They spelled it Jimmy Buter because he took the L with him to Miami

Whatever the reason ultimately happened to be, Butler is out of the picture in Philly and the Sixers now get to welcome a new shooting guard in Josh Richardson.
Butler averaged 18.2 points with a 46.1 field-goal percentage, 33.8 percent from three in his single season in Philadelphia. Memo to Heat fans: don't forget the Ls in 2019-20.
