5 Top-Rated JUCO Transfers Entering Early Signing Period
By Michael Luciano

The Early Signing Period is upon us, and the biggest programs in college football have their eyes set on more than just the best high schoolers in the country. The junior college market is a yearly source of an influx of talent for the best programs in the country, and this year's crop has plenty of gems who could earn playing time right away. These five stand alone as the best of the best in the 2020 group.
5. CB Brian George, Highland CC, Bell Glade, Fla.
VIP: The latest on Miami and former Glades Central CB Brian George, who checked in at No. 5 overall in the @247Sports JUCO rankings that were released Tuesday. https://t.co/B7Qoq9OZ4M pic.twitter.com/tvY4Pa98h7

George, who has broken up six throws, made 26 tackles, and picked off two passes, is still very much undecided as it pertains to his next destination. While Texas A&M and Miami have gone hard after him, he did just take his official visit to Auburn, who appear to be in the lead for him. A 6-2, 190 pound corner with speed and plus ball skills, George is the type of JUCO transfer that could step into a defense that plays a lot of man coverage and instantly start making plays on the ball.
4. DE Jordan Davis, Copiah-Lincoln CC, Memphis, Tenn.

Originally an Alabama commit, Davis ended up enrolling at East Mississippi Community College after high school. He was a Tennessee commit for the longest time, but Joe Moorhead and Mississippi State eventually won out and secured his commitment. While speed is the name of his game, Davis has shown enough power and refinement in his pass rushing attack to immediately make a dent in the Bulldogs' defensive line rotation. The NFL has poached plenty of d-lineman from Starkville over the years, and Davis could be next in line.
3. CB Nadab Joseph, Independence CC, Miami, Fla.
Joseph was originally an LSU commit once upon a time, but later flipped to Alabama and, eventually Georgia. The Crimson Tide are the favorites for Joseph, as he looks to make an impact at the FBS level. He's a little stringy at just a hair under 190, but at 6-2 with long arms and plenty of speed, Joseph could play either cornerback or safety, as he has the hitting power to patrol the middle of the field. Playing defensive back at Alabama is a good way to get yourself drafted, and Joseph could be on his way to stardom if he keeps improving.
2. WR Omar Manning, Kilgore JC, Lancaster, Texas
Manning, the top offensive player in the JUCO ranks this season, will join up with Scott Frost and Nebraska next year. A former high school All-American, Manning picked up 727 yards receiving and six touchdowns this year on just 35 catches. With a muscular 6-4, 225-pound frame and the verticality to win 50-50 jump balls in his sleep, Manning is the above-the-rim vertical threat that Adrian Martinez can rely on whenever he needs a big play.
1. DT Perrion Winfrey, Iowa Western CC, Roselle, Iowa
Winfrey, already committed to Oklahoma, stands head and shoulders above the rest of his JUCO contemporaries this year. With 10 tackles for loss and four sacks this year, Winfrey proved that he is as disruptive a force as there is on the defensive line in junior college football. At 305 pounds, his athleticism and lateral quickness is astonishing for his age. With star defensive tackle Neville Gallimore off to the pros next year, Winfrey could step right in and replicate his production.
