Once again, Nick Saban and his coaching staff at Alabama have gone out and won a monster recruiting battle for one of the top targets in the country. This was the case on Saturday with 5-star running back Emmanuel Henderson announcing that he'll be playing his college ball in Tuscaloosa.
The touted running back had a boatload of offers and understandably so. He's a 5-star prospect for a reason. In the end, the opportunity to suit up for the Crimson Tide was simply too much to pass up on.
Ranked the No. 2 running back in the country, the 6-1, 185-pounder picked Alabama over additional offers from Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, Arkansas, Florida State and several other powerhouse programs across the country.
With Henderson now on board, Alabama is up to five verbal pledges for the 2022 class. Henderson is the second 5-star on board for '22, as he joins pro-style quarterback Ty Simpson. Alabama currently holds the No. 4 class in the SEC and No. 14 in the country. You know those positions will rise in the near future.
