A big factor in prolonged team success in college basketball is how well a program can recruit new players, which is the forte of University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari.

He flexed his recruiting prowess when 5-star guard Terrence Clarke announced his commitment to program. Clarke will also reclassify to the 2020 recruiting class.

Clarke is currently a star in New Hampshire at the Wolfeboro Brewster Academy and is known for his perimeter scoring ability and aggressive play. In 18 games, the athletic Clarke averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists in the Nike EYBL.

Calipari's strength as a recruiter is evident once again with this year's class. Clarke's verbal commitment gives the Kentucky coach his third perimeter prospect ranked in the top 40.

Clarke joins 5-star guard BJ Boston and 4-star recruits Cam’Ron Fletcher and Lance Ware as members of Kentucky's 2020 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 1 in all of college basketball.
