If you average 25 points per game once, you had a career year. If you do it a couple times, you're one of the best scorers in the league. If you do it 15 CONSECUTIVE times, you're in a league of your own. James' rookie year, in which he averaged 20.9 points per game for Paul Silas' Cavaliers, was the only year in his career that he didn't crack 25 a game. He might only be averaging 24 points per game through 10 contests for the Lakers this year, but that number will almost surely be boosted in the coming weeks.

If he can will the Lakers to another title, thereby winning a championship with his third team, he might end up becoming the first person in history be nominated for SI's ultimate honor.

2. He's a Champions League Winner

While Liverpool is mostly overseen by John Henry, who also owns the Boston Red Sox, James purchased a small share in the club in 2011 as part of his dealings with Fenway Sports Group.
