3 Twins Prospects Who Should Be Untouchable in Trade Talks

The Minnesota Twins looks set to end the Cleveland Indians' reign in the AL Central on the back of an historically powerful roster. Rocco Baldelli's guys set the record for home runs before the All-Star break, but could look to add another bullpen arm to compliment Taylor Rogers or a starter to add to a surprisingly deep rotation. If they want to make that move, however, they should at least have some ambivalence about giving up any of these three prospects.

3. INF Luis Arraez

After falling down Minnesota's prospect rankings following a torn ACL in 2017, Arraez has been white hot to start his MLB career, hitting .385 in 29 games with the big league team. With the versatility to play every infield position and left field, Arraez has proven in just 29 games that he is a piece the Twins can use this October and beyond. The Twins would be foolish to offload him in a trade, especially if it's for another bat.

2. SP Brusdar Graterol

Currently with the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Graterol was dicing up hitters before an injury, going 5-0 with a 1.89 ERA and a .188 batting average against in nine starts. With a fastball that averages 97 miles per hour, a hard slider in the high 80s, and an improving curveball, Graterol is the best arm in the Twins system. At just 20 years old, Graterol has flown through the minor league system and should be ready to hit Target Field soon.

1. SS Royce Lewis

The 2017 No. 1 overall pick, Lewis' .235 average with the Class-A Advanced Ft. Myers Miracle might be concerning to some, but his defense, power, and speed is all still there. Lewis has been going through a rough patch of late, but the talent remains, and he is still scratching the surface of his insane potential. MLB.com's No. 7 prospect, Lewis is on track to be a star, and giving up on him would be the height of foolishness.
