The Minnesota Twins made it interesting early in their Game 1 matchup against the New York Yankees, but in the end, New York's offense exploded en route to a 10-4 victory. So, what do the Twins need to do to tie this series up? Here are three things the Twins must do to bounce back in the ALDS.

3. Randy Dobnak Needs to Keep the Ball in the Park

It's easier said than done, especially against this Yankee lineup playing at home, but for Twins starter Randy Dobnak to have success in a vitally important Game 2, he needs to keep the ball down and in the ballpark. Dobnak's 52.9 percent ground-ball rate is the reason he's getting a postseason start, and he needs to make sure he continues that level of success Saturday if Minnesota has any chance of tying the series.

2. Twins Can't Give Yankees Extra Outs

When the Minnesota Twins were unable to turn a double play in the third inning of Game 1, the Yankees took a one-run lead on the play and from there their offense began to take off. New York doesn't need any help on the offensive side of the ball, and if you give them extra outs, they'll make you pay.

1. Offense Needs to Carry the Day

If Minnesota wants any chance at winning Game 2 and this series, the offense has to carry the load. The Twins are one of the best offenses in the game, and they need to do better than 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position like they did in Game 1. Basically, they need to slug their way to victory, especially with their pitching staff being what it is.
