D'Angelo Russell was the No. 2 overall pick back in the 2015, and after a couple disappointing seasons that led to him being dealt to the Brooklyn Nets, he's appeared to have turned the corner and is entering restricted free agency after his lone All-Star campaign. Maybe he returns to Brooklyn if they don't sign Kyrie Irving, but the likelihood is that he'll be playing elsewhere. If that happens, here are three teams we'd love to see sign D'Angelo Russell.

3. Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are in desperate need of a point guard, and while Russell isn't the second-coming of Steve Nash from an assist standpoint, he can score the basketball efficiently. Also, it would be a special backcourt pairing of Russell and Devin Booker, as from an offensive standpoint they'd create a devastating one-two punch.

2. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been one of the more disappointing teams in recent years, as they have a young core that continues to underachieve. In an attempt to switch things around and find the right mix of talent, Minnesota should go after Russell in free agency. They have a hole with Jeff Teague and Tyus Jones becoming free agents, so bringing in an All-Star point guard to run the offense would be a smart move.

1. Los Angeles Lakers

Who doesn't want to see this happen? Magic Johnson and the Lakers gave up on him and shipped him out of town, and with the Laker legend out of town, it would be awesome to see him back in the Purple and Gold and thriving alongside LeBron and AD. While Kawhi is the clear priority for the Lakers, D-Lo could be an excellent fall-back option.
