3 Teams That Should Trade for Orioles Pitcher Dylan Bundy

A former top prospect that made his MLB debut at the age of 19, injuries and an inability to keep the ball in the park have done a number on Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Dylan Bundy's reputation. With Baltimore still in the middle of a massive rebuild, Bundy, who went 7-14 with a 4.79 ERA at the age of 26, might need to be jettisoned in order to get any value in return.

If he is indeed traded, which rumors from Wednesday are suggesting, these three teams would be perfect landing spots.

3. Chicago White Sox

Lucas Giolito finally showed White Sox fans that every bit of hype around him was warranted with his All-Star season in 2019. That said, Chicago could stand to beef up their rotation around him. Top prospect Dylan Cease struggled in his first MLB action, while Reynaldo Lopez seems to still have ways to go after regressing in 2019. Let's not even begin to discuss Dylan Covey. With Carlos Rodon set to return from injury, a rotation of Giolito, Rodon, and Bundy would be a massive improvement over last year.

2. Philadelphia Phillies

With Vince Velaquez finally moving to the bullpen, it's probably time to stop praying on the breakout year with him. The same can be said of Nick Pivetta. The Bryce Harper-led lineup is deep enough to make the playoffs, even in a crowded National League, but that rotation could stand to add a young starter or two. Bundy would be an interesting reclamation project for Joe Girardi to undertake, but the effects could be positive if the right-hander can have some confidence in the lineup behind him.

1. Los Angeles Angels

Pop quiz time? How many Angels starting pitchers can you actually name? The likes of Andrew Heaney, Jaime Barria, Dillon Peters, and Trevor Cahill aren't exactly the guys you want spearheading the top of a rotation. While top prospect Griffin Canning showed promise, the Angels are in dire need of starting pitching. Bundy wouldn't fix that staff's problems by himself, but he'd be a nice little addition to a rotation that needs a complete overhaul this offseason.
