The Minnesota Vikings are looking to bounce back from their disappointing campaign in 2018, where they missed the playoffs despite locking down Kirk Cousins to a massive deal. They bolstered their roster in the offseason, but there are still some minor moves they can make to fill their needs. Here are three sneaky plays the Vikings still have available.

1. Sign a Veteran Lineman

Kirk Cousins did not perform well in his first year, but the offensive line didn't do him any favors. The Vikings' line allowed 40 sacks last season and mainly upgraded in the offseason through the draft. Minnesota would be smart to add some veteran depth on their line while their rookies adjust to the pros. Players such as Donald Penn, Ryan Schraeder and Jeremy Parnell are all solid options.

2. Sign Antonio Gates

If you thought 38-year-old Antonio Gates was done playing, you're absolutely wrong. The future Hall of Famer parted ways with the Chargers this offseason, but doesn't want to hang up the shoes just yet. The Vikings have a reliable tight end in Kyle Rudolph right now, but they are reportedly trying to move him due to his large salary. Gates still has some gas left in the tank, as he had 333 receiving yards last season. The veteran would be a nice complement to rookie tight end Irv Smith Jr. and could be a mentor for the young prospect.

3. Sign Rishard Matthews

Rishard Matthews' production fell off a cliff last season. He saw his role diminished with the Titans and couldn't find success when he was traded to the Jets. However, the 29-year-old receiver is just a year removed from two productive seasons, in which he totaled 1,740 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Vikings couldn't find any production from their receivers last year outside of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. There's no harm in giving Matthews a chance and adding him to the competition.
