3 Players Who Definitely Won't Be on the Colts Roster Next Season

The Indianapolis Colts will miss out on the playoffs in the first year after Andrew Luck's surprise retirement. While Jacoby Brissett performed admirably, the reality is that there are some serious holes on Frank Reich's squad that Brissett's growth alone isn't enough to overcome. Expect these three players to be playing elsewhere after disappointing 2019 seasons in Indianapolis.

3. WR Devin Funchess

Funchess, a tight end in college, was signed away from the Carolina Panthers to provide a more physical component to TY Hilton in the receivers room. Due to injury, Funchess played in just one game and made just three catches, and saw his production replaced by the likes of Zach Pascal and Parris Campbell. With Campbell continuing to improve and three Top 60 picks to rebuild their offense, Indianapolis could kill two birds with one stone by getting rid of Funchess and drafting a young receiver.

2. TE Eric Ebron

If there was an award for the biggest statistical regression across the NFL, Ebron would certainly be a worthy candidate in 2019. After catching just 11 touchdowns in four years as a Lion, Ebron caught 13 of Luck's 39 touchdown passes last season. This year, Ebron has managed just 31 catches and three touchdowns, due to injury and plain old poor performance. Jack Doyle has emerged as the better tight end, and Ebron could be on his way out after such a subpar season.

1. K Adam Vinatieri

Saturday is Vinatieri's birthday, as the legendary kicker will turn an astounding 47 years old before the Colts play the Jaguars this week. While his age is impressive, Father Time remains undefeated, and Vinatieri has regressed this season. The once-automatic Vinatieri has missed eight field goals and six extra points this season, costing Indianapolis games in the process. He's a lock for a jersey retirement and the Hall of Fame, but it's just a shame that Vinatieri's likely final season comes on the heels of such a noticeable regression.
