Though the 2019 season hasn't gone according to plan for the Philadelphia Phillies, they still own the second NL Wild Card spot. Seeing as they function like a big-market team even when it's not optimal, they're almost certainly going to buy at the deadline to solidify their spot in the playoff picture. But when putting together the new-look roster, these three prospects should be absolutely off of the table in trade talks.

Howard has been arguably the best pitcher in Philadelphia's farm system this year, even after missing time due to shoulder soreness. The organization's fifth overall prospect has struck out seven or more batters in five of his six starts in High-A, managing a total of 44 strikeouts and just five walks. He's proven himself to be a valuable player who's worth keeping.

2. Luis Garcia

Garcia is only 18, so though he's struggled in his first year at Single-A, there's still plenty of room for him to improve. He's got good speed on the basepaths and an above-average ability to put the bat on the ball. There's plenty of upside in Garcia that's yet to be seen, which is why the Phillies need to hold onto him.

3. Alec Bohm

The Phillies need to hold onto Bohm at all costs. The third overall pick from the 2018 draft has done nothing but impress in his brief time in the minors, posting an .849 OPS across 121 games. Bohm isn't baseball's 38th overall prospect for nothing. He's their third baseman of the future, and giving him up would be extremely short-sighted.
