3 Ideal Destinations for Cam Newton if Panthers Decide to Build Around Kyle Allen

Cam Newton has been the face of the Carolina Panthers ever since they drafted him with the first pick in the 2011 draft. The former MVP had an amazing run in Charlotte, leading the team to four playoff appearances during his stint, culminating in a Super Bowl appearance in 2015. And now, it looks like his era might be coming to an end with his season-ending injury combined with Kyle Allen's solid play. If the Panthers do indeed choose to proceed forward with Allen as their permanent quarterback, here are three of the most ideal destinations for Newton next year.

3. Chicago Bears

It's no secret that Mitchell Trubisky has been absolutely horrid for the Bears this season. When he hasn't been injured, Trubisky's looked completely lost on the field. No wonder Bears fans are crazed over the fact that Trubisky was picked ahead of both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. While that's a tough pill to swallow, all of this could potentially be remedied by Newton's presence on the Bears offense as a playmaking quarterback who Matt Nagy would be able to coach.

2. Tennessee Titans

With Marcus Mariota's future in Nashville very much in doubt, the franchise has chosen to proceed with Ryan Tannehill at the quarterback position, and while he's been serviceable, there's no shot that head coach Mike Vrabel is comfortable trusting the former A&M QB in the long run. Enter Newton, who is much more proven than both Tannehill and Mariota and grew up admiring Titans legend Steve McNair. If Newton can return to form, the Titans would definitely welcome him with open arms.

1. Denver Broncos

Well, Newton definitely checks off a lot of boxes for John Elway, who seems to be infatuated with tall quarterbacks (see: Brock Osweiler, Joe Flacco, etc.). Could he play for the team that beat him in Super Bowl 50? Absolutely. Newton could provide a spark to Vic Fangio's defensive-minded team and help take some of the pressure off his good friend Von Miller.
